The
Black River Project is a fully incorporated, non-profit organization
that collects, organizes, and delivers medicines, medical supplies,
equipment, training, and related support services and relief to
medically- underserviced and impoverished communities throughout the
globe. The Black River Project (BRP) family consists of the Director
and Founder, the Board of Directors and a network of volunteers.
This past June, Paula Persechini-Petitti, the BRP Director, was
involved in a serious car accident while on the Pine Ridge Reservation
in South Dakota. Unfortunately, both Paula and an accompanying health
worker were seriously injured. We are so thankful to be able to tell
you they are both receiving good care and are progressing steadily on
the long process of recovery. While Paula is recovering, we will be
restoring the medical work that she has handled so well.
We apologize to those of you who have been trying to contact the BRP.
Until this posting, web issues blocked us from the BRP site. We will
provide contact information for the BPR and links to our fundraising
efforts for Paula and the Black River Project programs.
We look forward to continuing the BRP’s medical work and hope
that you will join in our efforts to delivering medical resources to
communities strained by poor health and few health care resources.
Thank you for your interest in our medical mission.
